THE “TEACUP” EDUCATIONAL VIDEO

This entertaining 3-minute video was developed to introduce school-age children to the story of the Famous 5 women, and can be used in classroom settings to kick off lessons or stimulate discussion.

It’s hard to believe that less than a hundred years ago Canadian women were not considered “persons”, and were therefore unable to participate in politics to the same extent as men. This is the story of five ambitious women who bravely met under the guise of pink tea parties to change the rights of Canadian women forever – the Famous 5.
